Electronic and PCB Labels

ID Label Manufactures preprinted barcode and blank labels for applications that withstand harsh thermal and chemical exposures and still provide reliable read rates. Not your ordinary label request, but then again, ID Label is no ordinary label converter. Electronic manufacturer’s production processes widely vary when it comes to manufacturing conditions, wave soldering, fluxes, chemical washes and cleaners. ID Label’s polyimide (Kapton) products are WEEE and RoHS compliant which mandate lead free manufacturing. lead free solder alloys require higher processing temperatures than traditional tin-lead (Sn-Pb) alloys thereby reducing the process window and focusing on the need for rigorous control of thermal process during smoldering. . These labels can withstand sustained temperatures up to 750F and flash temperatures up to 1000F.

Since electronics manufacturers use both lead and lead-free processes, a colored polyimide label option is the perfect solution for identifying and differentiating between the two processes. Our extensive testing and customer feedback helped us come up with two products for electronics manufacturing. Whether you run standard or lead-free solder processes, our Printed Circuit Board labels do not fade, brown or yellow and read consistently even after 2-pass high-temperature oven exposure. Our unique label construction is designed to resist surface mount board processes on the top, side or bottom of the board, as well as our label that is backed with high-temperature resistant adhesives that performs well under harsh conditions.

Label applications include:

• Circuit board and component labels
• Rohs compliant materials
• Cable wrap labels with lamination that protects the print image
• Durable materials that withstand exposure to moisture, heat and solvents
• Label sizes as small as .25” x .25” to fit in tight spaces
• All major linear and 2D bar code symbologies

ID Label also offers blank label stocks and compatible thermal-transfer ribbons for printing-on-demand are constructed from the same material combinations designed to withstand the same rugged environments, heat resistant to temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
